It is said that
the Cape and shopping on the Cape is a unique experience for everyone. The majority of shopping
on Cape Cod is done in smaller, independent shops found in every Cape
town. However, the
Cape does have the Cape Cod mall for those who like retail shops or the
mall experience, which is centrally located so that locals and visitors
alike have no problem getting there. Cape Cod mall
is located in Hyannis, MA on Route 132 in the heart of Barnstable
County. Prior to
the completion of the mall in 1970, its location was home to a
Storyland theme park. The
mall, which originally housed 50 stores, has undergone several
renovations that increased the size of the mall to 115 shops. The renovations not only
included additional wings, but also included updating the interior of
the mall so that it would not remain dated in its style and look. The Cape Cod
Mall is anchored by stores such as Macy’s and Sears.
It also has the comfort of mini-anchor stores and
major retail stores like Best Buy, Gap and Barnes & Noble. For your shopping
convenience, the mall has hours from 9:30am to 9:30pm Monday through
Saturday and from 11:00am to 6:00pm on Sunday.
For those who like indoor exercise, mall walking is
permitted at 7:00am through the Food Court Entrance, Monday thru
Saturday, and at 9:00am on Sunday. If
you enjoy your exercise during regular mall hours and you have
children, strollers are available for rental.
The mall has created ample parking and handicapped
parking space; however the Sea Line Shuttle Bus stops regularly in
front of the Food Court entrance for those who do not wish to drive
themselves. But the Cape
Cod Mall has more than shopping. It
also features a 400-seat food court that allows shoppers to dine on any
type of cuisine from Manchu Wok’s to Sbarros to Freshens Yogurt. In addition to the food
court there are two full-service restaurants within the mall. After dining, patrons can
continue to peruse the shops or they can take in a movie at the Regal
Cinemas 12 theater megaplex.
The Cape Cod Mall has created an experience of
shopping, dining and entertainment for locals and tourists to enjoy. With Kohl's, Neiman Marcus, Sears, and Nordstrom. |
