An absolutely huge place, the Prime Outlet Mall in San Marcos, Texas (which is basically attached to the Tanger Outlet mall) has many shops, but my favorite is the Tommy Bahama outlet store. It’s near both San Antonio (about 45 minutes away) and Austin, and worth the trek. Not a whole lot of restaurants, (it’s more like snack bars), so just be prepared for that. The stores are arranged like two big circles, arranged around the parking lots, and kind of looks like a castle (very high-end). And check this out – the have gondola rides! Cool, eh? I went there when I had a business meeting in San Marcos and totally cleaned up, picking up 5 shirts and pair of pants from the Tommy Bahama outlet, paying about half of what they are usually sold for (and they weren’t even on sale…I want to go back when they’re having a big sale!)
