In
1964, Yorkdale Mall opened. It is located on Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
It is also located in Former city of North York in the community of
Downs view. Yorkdale
Mall is the first shopping mall, which include two major Canadian
department stores, Simpson’s, and Eaton’s under the same roof. W.R.
Allen Road and highway 401, these two expressways are passed through
this mall. One can go through a turnaround ramp on duffer in street,
south of Wilson Avenue. Yorkdale Mall is also close to TTC subway
station. From Monday to Friday, Yorkdale
Mall is open at 10 am till 9 pm. Only at York dale one can shop from
9.30 am to 9 pm. On Sunday, Yorkdale Mall is opened from 11 am to 6 pm.
Yorkdale Mall is not a customary shopping center. It is a Canada’s
premier fashion destination. Yorkdale Mall is spread over 1,45,000m2,
which is now increased to more malls 1,60,000 sq. feet. At the
time of opening it has 210 stores but now in April 2005 it increases to
260 stores. York dale in 1999 overhaul and adding a Rainforest café
restaurant, a famous players silver city movie theatre, and Indigo
Books and music stores too. This stores has an extraordinary mix of
fine fashionable attire, latest accessories, great gifts, home décor,
theaters, music stations and much more. It currently includes The Bay,
Sears, Holt Renfrew, Spot-Check, Indigo, Harry Rosen, Neiman Marcus,
Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids and Williams- Sonoma. Yorkdale Mall
expands its Easton’s department store and the former famous player’s
cinema in terms of size and stores. Tommy Hilfiger H&M, Zara,
Old Navy and Home outfitters also add beauty to Yorkdale Mall. After
Square One Shopping Center in Mississauga and Toronto Eaton Center,
Yorkdale Mall is the third largest mall in Ontario in terms of retail
floor space and ahead of Scarborough Town center. Yorkdale Mall became
home to the first Apple store in Canada on 2005, May 21. With Kohl's, Neiman Marcus, Sears, and Nordstrom. |
