Springfield Mall is a huge paradise of a shopping center in Virginia, with over 245 specialty stores, several eateries, and a movie theatre. The mall is easily accessible, with a metro shuttle every fifteen minutes from the Franconia Springfield Station. Upon arrival, you’ll find stores for all your shopping needs, entertainment for the whole family, services to aid all patrons, and plenty of food to satisfy any palette. Kids can ride the carousel, or climb around on the 2-story play tower, designed to help children expend their excess energy. When they’ve tired themselves, take advantage of the stroller rentals available (for disabled shoppers, complimentary wheelchair services are also available on a first come, first serve basis). While you’re there, be sure to sign up for the free kids club, which will offer fun educational opportunities for your child. Other services provided by Springfield Mall include a notary public available from 10:00am to 4:00pm daily (call for an appointment).

		Shops include favorites like Borders Express, where you’ll find books, stationery, notebooks, journals, calendars, music, and gifts, and Spencers Gifts, where you’ll find less traditional gifts and quirky games, shirts, and costumes. Grab a bite to eat on the go at one of the fast food counter service restaurants like Subway or Pizza Hut. Have a healthy snack at Smoothie World, or satisfy a sweet tooth at Cinnabon. Or have a meal at a sit down restaurant like Bennigan’s or Ruby Tuesday. If you feel the need to relax for a couple of hours, take in a flick at the AMC 10-screen theatre located conveniently inside Springfield Mall. Regular mall hours are Monday through Saturday from 10:00am to 9:30pm and Sunday from 12:00pm to 5:00pm, though department store hours may vary. So take advantage of this hulk of a shopping center.
