Located at the intersection of Old Country Road and Meadowbrook Parkway, Roosevelt Field Mall poses itself a great place to stop and shop for locals as well as passers-by.  The first thing to draw you in is the valet parking, a service available at Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, or the main entrance near Macy’s.  Upon entry, you’ll find stroller rentals and complimentary wheelchair services available to aid all of the mall’s patrons (all on a first come, first serve basis).

Roosevelt Field Mall is packed with shoppers’ favorites, including the Disney Store (set up to bring out the inner child in all of us), Children’s Place (what better way to clothe the tykes?), and As Seen on TV (because we ALL want to buy it, but we don’t want to pay for shipping!).  Urban Outfitters offers some of the latest, hippest styles, especially for the adolescents and young adults.  And GNC and Vitamin World will play to that guilty conscience and have you buying supplements to help your diet.

While your one the right track, join the Mall Walker’s program, to have a fee-free climate controlled indoor track year round.  Doors open at 8:00am daily and 9:00am on Sunday (regular mall hours are 10:00am to 9:30pm Monday through Saturday and 11:00 to 7:00pm Sunday, with varying department store hours).  When you’ve done your cardio, you’ll feel good about sitting down to a movie at the Loews Theatre in the mall, or stop for a bite to eat at Sbarro or Wendy’s.  You may even feel like celebrating your hard work with a formal meal at Houston’s or Legal Seafood (try the popcorn shrimp, it’s to die for!).  Whatever your liking, you’re sure to find it, if you take the time to stop in at Roosevelt Field Mall.  WIth J.C.
