Orlando is a paradise for family fun – Disney World, SeaWorld, and Universal Studios are all within minutes of the Orlando International Airport, and just a few short miles from each other. And between adventure stations, Florida Mall is the shopping center of choice in this area. Located at the corner of South Orange Blossom Trail and Sand Lake Road, Florida Mall completed a renovation and expansion in 1999 and now contains over 250 specialty stores.
Over 9,200 parking spaces are available, with valet parking offered for those who don't wish to make a trek from the back of the lot to the front door on a busy day. Upon entering Florida Mall, you'll find stroller rentals and complimentary wheelchair services available on a first come, first serve basis (mall hours are Monday through Saturday from 10:00am to 9:00pm and Sunday from 12:00pm to 6:00pm, with varying hours for department stores).
You'll find shopper favorites such as Old Navy, Pottery Barn, and Wilsons Leather, as well as salons aiming to pamper and please such as Regis Salon and the Camilla Day Spa.
For the hungry shopper, there are several counter service restaurants, such as Manchu Wok for a taste of the Orient, Sbarro for a great slice of pizza, or Subway for a sandwich with "6 grams of fat or less". For a sit-down restaurant experience, take a load off at Ruby Tuesday (try their all you can eat salad bar for great taste and a great deal), or stop in at the California Pizza Kitchen for some of the best pizza in town.
Whether you are just looking for a casual hangout, to break away from the excitement of amusement parks, or a place to shop for souvenirs, Florida Mall is bound to offer an enjoyable but less hectic location to catch your breath.
